Je Da Pu Kaidong Yaowarach - Pickled crab with roe

Let's start with Yaowarach (Chinatown), the home of the famous Je Da restaurant and its feature dishes, pickled flathead lobsters with roe and pickled crab with roe. Je Da Yaowarach has been opened for 50 years and is located right at the start of Yaowarach Soi 11. It's right in front of Thongbai Goldsmith. What makes this place special is the fact the seafood is pickled in fish sauce. The rich flavor really stays with you throughout the entire meal and is not one you're soon to forget. You'll be coming back for more in no time! This is also a location that's very popular with locals. No matter what day you visit, there's always a long line. Aside from the classic crab and flathead lobsters, you'll also find pickled shrimp with roe on their menu. No matter what your choice, every item is absolutely delicious.

This restaurant also regularly sees long lines, as many people are queuing up for its diverse and exciting menu. This includes the Crispy Noodle Laad Na Volcano, Seafood Laad Na, Shrimp Pot with Glass Noodle, Suki Soup, Crispy Stir fried Noodles, Crispy Taro Snack, and their Chinese Oyster Omelet, which is loaded with giant oysters. Elvis Suki Yotsae - Suki

Let's continue with Elvis Suki. This is one of the most famous places to eat in the Yotsae area, despite being surrounded by places with sweet treats, savory dishes and a whole spread of delicious appetizers. Aside from its namesake dish, Suki, Elvis Suki also serves a wide array of seafood dishes. That said, the most highly recommended item would have to be the Turnip Cake. This cake is soft on the inside, but crunchy on the outside and is stir fried in a bed of bean sprouts and topped with a delicious chili sauce to make the flavors pop. But that's not all they have to offer! Also on the menu is  Baked Scallops with Butter. These giant scallops are baked with butter and garlic and served with a healthy portion of seafood sauce to give it that extra kick. I must say, the scallops are positively heavenly. On the other side of the taste bud spectrum, Elvis Suki also offers smoothies to help balance the many savory dishes on their menu.

On top of that, they really lay it all on the line with their Crispy Squid served with Chinese Doughnut Sticks. You really get all the flavors packed into every bite.

Onwards to more food. Next we are heading to a local favorite for Bua Loy, Ket Kaew Bua Loy is located in Sam Phraeng and is surrounded by many other delicious restaurants. To be more specific, you'll find Ket Kaew on Phraeng Nara, next to San Chao Pho Suea. This place is known best for its Bua Loy Kai Wan (Glutinous Rice Balls in Coconut Milk with Egg), thanks to its bright and bold colors and the delectable springiness of the rice balls. Also, the sweet smell from the coconut milk will easily pull you in off the streets. Feel free to customize yours with add-ons like sweet eggs, salted eggs, taro, corn, and pumpkin in syrup. We would, of course recommend the Bua Loy with sweet egg because the combination is out of this world. We just can't stop eating it, even getting extra for takeout!

For those who like fried pork, we would absolutely recommend Mu Thot Chaowang, located at Talad Wang Lang. Mu Thot Chaowang is the first restaurant in Siriraj Wang Lang, so its 10 years in business has let them really perfect their rich and delicious pork. They select only the highest quality pork and marinate it in a homemade sauce, producing a tender and sweet flavor without the need for any dipping. Mu Thot Chaowang also serves delicious Fried Pork Ribs, which go very well with a steaming bowl of either white sticky rice or black sticky rice. You just can't get enough of these dishes.

Por Pieer @Phlu Market (Spring rolls)

Let's move to another area in Thonburi. This area is well known for high quality street food with a wide variety of choices. You can eat until you burst. Anytime I go to this area, I make sure to stop by Por Pieer Sod Je Bi on Soi Thoetthai 18, right next to the farmer market. Despite selling out of a small cart, these spring rolls pack a big flavor and everybody knows it. Por Pieer is a well known establishment and people are always willing to wait in line for a few spring rolls. All of the ingredients are prepared fresh everyday and the spring rolls are packed with delicious Chinese sausage, Chinese pork sticks, omelet, black tofu, bean sprouts, and crab meat. To top it all off, be sure to dip these into their special peanut sauce. // For those who don't like their sauces sweet, there's always the chili in vinegar sauce. I guarantee that you will love these spring rolls.

Located at the beginning of Soi Sala Deng, next to BTS Sala Deng and MRT Silom, Talaetod Silom specializes in fried seafood tapas-like dishes. There are three main options to choose from. The first is fried squid, which has a nice crispy outside, but a succulent, stringy meat. Secondly, there is the fried shrimp. And lastly, you can get the fried crab, with an audibly crunchy shell that everyone will be fighting over. All three are ordered as a combo and served with a homemade dipping.
